Finnish Association of Group Psychotherapy
The society has a rather long history in the finnish psychoanalytic world. It was established in year 1972 and has since been active in training group psychotherapists, group psychotherapists for children and adolescents group psychoanalysts. The theoretical frame of reference is embedded in Freudian theory which was later developed to a school of thought which is known as the theory ob Object Relations. Psychoanalysts such as Melanie Klein, Wilfred Bion, Donald Winnicott etc. are representatives of this theoretical orientation. Group psychotherapists and group psychoanalysts of today apply this theory base in their practical clinical work. The fundamental goal of the society is to produce the best possible therapeutic care to all patients as well as the best professional training in theory and clinical setting.
If you want to join a therapy group or ask questions around your possible problems please contact the secretary of the society. The secretary Tiina Kosti will help you.
